The Eurasian community of Malaysia are the mixed-race descendants of European colonists. These descendants trace their European heritage to the Portuguese, Dutch and British settlers during the colonial times. Meanwhile, their Asian heritage is from the local population of the Malay archipelago or the various Asian immigrants who have settled in the region. These various communities eventually settled in the different regions of Malaysia where they usually follow the religion and cultural practices of their European forefathers. Particularly, the Portuguese Eurasian community from Malacca, developed their own creole language - Kristang. Let’s meet the Malaysian beauties in Miss Universe who are from the Eurasian community. For their national costumes, delegates usually chose the sarong kebaya, a traditional attire among local Malaysian women
