Nuraliza Osman won the Miss Singapore Universe 2002 pageant. Before winning the national title, she has worked as a teacher while pursuing her law degree and was already fluent in several languages - Malay, Indonesian, English, French. She comes from a multiracial background; her mother is of Chinese and Dutch descent while her father is mixed Indonesian and Indian. She soon became Singapore's delegate in the Miss Universe 2002 pageant held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After the pageant, Nuraliza became active in the local entertainment/media industry as an actress and TV host, and soon expanded her career as a lawyer, charity organizer and author. She was the national director of the Miss Universe Singapore Organization from 2015 until 2018.
Lisa Marie White was crowned Miss Universe Singapore 2015 in a closed-door selection process. At the time, she was working as a freelance model and was pursuing a career in acting. Coming from a multicultural background, her mother is Singaporean of Malay and Indonesian descent while her father is New Zealander of English, Welsh, French and Irish ancestry. Fluent in English and Malay, Lisa soon became Singapore's delegate in the Miss Universe 2015 pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
