Meet my favorite Chamorro beauties who have graced the Miss Universe stage. The Chamorro are the majority ethnic group native to Guam and Northern Mariana Islands, both of which are US territories in the Micronesia region.

Alyssa Cruz Aguero won the title of Miss Universe Guam 2012. Born and raised in Barrigada, Alyssa was working as an assistant restaurant manager at the time she won the title. The statuesque, dusky beauty soon became Guam's delegate in the Miss Universe 2012 pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alyssa wore a national costume that featured orange oyster shells, which are used in making traditional Chamorro jewelry.

Brittany Mesa Bell won the title of Miss Arizona USA 2010. Born in Barrigada, Guam, she comes from a multiracial background; her father is black while her mother is Chamorro. She and her family members then moved to San Diego, California. Before winning the state title, she was based in Chandler, where she completed a degree in journalism while also being a professional dancer/cheerleader for the Phoenix Suns basketball team. Brittany soon became Arizona's representative in the Miss USA 2010 pageant.

Years later, Brittany relocated to Guam to compete in the Miss Universe Guam 2014 pageant. Winning the title, she became Guam's representative in the Miss Universe 2014 pageant held in Miami, Florida.

Muñeka Taisipic won the title of Miss Universe Guam 2016. Hailing from Yona, Muñeka was pursuing a physical therapy degree when she won the title. She was a member of Guam's national volleyball team and is also active in rugby and canoeing. The dusky beauty soon became Guam's representative in the Miss Universe 2016 pageant held in Manila, Philippines.

Myana Welch won the title of Miss Universe Guam 2017. A resident of Tamuning, Myana is originally from Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, and comes from a multiracial background; her father is white while her mother is of Chamorro descent. Before winning the title, she has completed a business degree and was managing her own beauty products business while also doing modeling jobs. The statuesque beauty soon represented Guam in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada. She wore a national costume that depicts the flag of Guam.
