Kim Myeong Ja (김명자) won the title of Miss Korea 1963 (미스코리아). At the time she won the national title, she was based in Seoul, where she was pursuing a degree in Korean literature. Myeong Ja soon became Korea's delegate in the Miss Universe 1963 pageant held in Miami, Florida. Admired for her elegance and sophisticated demeanor, Myeong Ja became a favorite during the pageant, eventually finishing as 4th runner-up.


Kim Eun Jung (김은정) won the title of Miss Korea 1980 (미스코리아). Hailing from Jeju Island, she was pursuing a degree in Korean literature at the time she won the national title. Eun Jung became the hometown girl when the Miss Universe 1980 pageant was held in Seoul, Korea. A favorite during the pageant, Eun Jung was admired for her elegance and for being a gracious host delegate. The Korean beauty finished among the Top 12 semi-finalists.


Jang Yoon-Jeong (장윤정) won the title of Miss Korea 1987 (미스코리아). At the time she won the national title, Yoon-Jeong was a high school student aspiring to become a professional folk dancer. She soon represented Korea in the Miss Universe 1988 pageant held in Taipei, Republic of China. Noted for her doll-like features and vivaciousness, the porcelain-skinned beauty became a favorite during the pageant. Yoon-Jeong eventually finished as the 1st runner-up.


After the pageant, Yoon-Jeong returned to Korea and became began a career in the local entertainment industry as an actress, model and TV hostess.


Kim Sa-Rang (김사랑) won the title of Miss Korea 2000 (미스코리아). Born and raised in Seoul, she completed a bachelor's degree in traditional Korean music. At the time she won the national title, she was pursuing her master's degree with a focus on the Gayageum, a traditional Korean instrument. She has also started an acting career, appearing in local drama show while also being featured as a model of a leading cosmetic brand. Sa-Rang soon represented Korea in the Miss Universe 2001 pageant, held in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. During the pageant, her national costume, which was based on the traditional Hanbok, was widely applauded and was awarded Best in National Costume.


After her reign as Miss Korea, Sa-Rang completed her master's degree and continued with her career in the local Korean entertainment industry, acting in many local films and TV series. Aside from acting and modeling, she also became active in hosting various radio and TV shows.


Lee Ha Nee (이하늬) won the title of Miss Korea 2006 (미스코리아). Hailing from Seoul, Ha Nee holds a degree in traditional Korean music and is a professional Gayageum player, having performed locally and abroad. Aside from her career in music, she has background in Taekwondo, Christian missionary work and has served as a volunteer in charitable efforts in Mongolia. Ha Nee soon represented Korea in the Miss Universe 2007 pageant held in Mexico City, Mexico where she was popularly known as "Honey Lee". Applauded for her stage performance and charm, the stunning Korean beauty was hailed as the top contender during the pageant. During the pageant finals, Ha Nee was announced as among the Top 15 semi-finalists and eventually finished as 3rd runner-up.


After the pageant, Ha Nee embarked on an acting and modeling career back in South Korea. Aside from acting in local films and TV shows, she also performed in musicals and theater productions. 


Meilin Gay (紀美蓮) represented Hong Kong in the Miss World 1972 pageant, held in London, United Kingdom. Meilin hails from Kowloon and is fluent in Cantonese, Hokkien and English. At the time, Meilin was working as a model and was aspiring to become an actress.


Days after the pageant concluded, controversial reports surfaced regarding Meilin's participation in the Miss World 1972 pageant. The first report claimed that Meilin was not born female, having underwent medical treatment and hormone usage to appear as female. The second report was that Meilin did not originate from Kowloon but was already based in London, working in a massage parlor. Although there were reports that the Miss World organizers would conduct an investigation about the claims, there were no official conclusions given to journalists as it was determined that Meilin had left the United Kingdom by that time.
